This movie has an impressive cast, even with those who don’t usually act. And most likely because it’s based on some true events (see further for fact checking link) and not just an article, acting was much more touching and real.

The film is inspired by an article about Eugene Allen (Cecil Gaines in the movie) as a poor man who found his way to work and ultimately became one of the most prestigious butlers at the White House.
